Rey, a young poet who yearns for freedom, has been backpacking for years. One September noon, he hopped on a freight train and hitchhiked all the way to San Francisco, where he met Jaffe, a free-spirited Zen practitioner. The two shared a similar spirit and embarked on a journey together in pursuit of freedom and Zen, gradually realizing the mysteries of the world as they roamed.
